Day of Giving

Right before spring break, the whole Upper School ventured out in the community to spend some time giving back before indulging in a nice two week break from school! Some of us went to pick citrus for the Food Bank, some of us went to the Westside Boys and Girls Club to execute some beautification projects there, some of us went to B.U.N.S to help clean bunny cages and socialize with the animals, and others went to various city beaches to clean-up trash. Here are some photos from the day!

All smiles

Large and fluffy bunnies are good snugglers!

Sometimes you just feel silly when holding a bunny

This bunny loved Maxx!

Forest shows us you never know what you will find at the beach!

I mean really, YOU NEVER DO KNOW!

Sofia is always fascinated by what she finds in nature

Need a sock, anyone?

Boys and Girls Club

The B&G Club needed some fencing put up for security so these girls got it done!

We made these paper crane mobiles to hang in the lower school classroom

This dull classroom got a much needed boost with some beautiful blue paint!

Natasha and Julia rolling out some paint

The Club was so grateful for our contributions

These strong guys cleaned A HUGE mess out of this storage garage!

Making cranes!

Fence fitting fun

Stringing the cranes onto fishing line

These small ones were harder to make!

A little manual labor going into a nice long break!

Years of dust collected on all of these classroom items so we got to work cleaning things up

Admiring their handiwork!

Putting the finishing pieces into place

Hanging the cranes! No students were endangered here!

The finished mural behind us! Aaron, the club director, in the lower right.
